After my collegiate swimming career ended, I really missed having a team of people to push me and challenge me during workouts.
In 2012, one of my former club swim teammates convinced me to try a workout at her CrossFit gym. I was skeptical- how could a 5 min workout possibly be that tough, right?- but I agreed to give it a try. I got absolutely destroyed by the workout and had a ton of fun at the same time. I was instantly hooked.
In 2013, with the encouragement of my husband, I decided to get my CrossFit Level 1 Certification, along with my NASM Personal Training Certification and pursue coaching as a career. I began working as an assistant CrossFit coach in the fall of 2013 while also serving as an assistant coach/strength and conditioning coach for the Whitworth University Swim Team. In the fall of 2014, following a cross country move for my husband's career, I became the head coach, and later manager, of CrossFit 007 in Lillington, NC. There, I made the decision to pursue coaching CrossFit full time.
Since that time I have continued to coach CrossFit in various capacities through different seasons of life and in different parts of the country. In 2018, I obtained my CrossFit Level 2 certification, and in 2023, I added CrossFit Level 3, or Certified CrossFit Trainer, to my resume. Currently, full time, I am a military wife to my wonderful husband, Chris, and mama to two littles, Nolan and Ellie.
The thing I love most about coaching is forming lasting relationships with my athletes and helping them boost their self confidence by setting and achieving goals they previously would not have thought possible. I love breaking complex movements down into simple, attainable steps in order to reach a variety of skill levels. I am also kind of a nerd when it comes to CrossFit theory and program design. :)
On the side, I love competing in the sport of CrossFit, and am excited to represent CrossFit Las Vegas to the very best of my ability. I hope to be an inspiration to others through competition and show that you don’t have to be the best to put yourself out there. It’s all about the journey to becoming your best you.

What is your go-to cheat meal?
I love all food but probably wine and charcuterie or a blizzard from Dairy Queen
What do you like to do when not in the gym?
Spend time with my family, hike or walk my Dog, Autzen, spend time with friends, take my kids to fun places, try new restaurants/coffee shops, listen to podcasts or audio books, catch a few min of “Bridgerton” on Netflix
What song is your favorite on your workout playlist?
Anything country or when I really need to get hyped up is #1 by Nelly
